After a month which I have not had time to write in my blog, and fifteen days after Jabulanis and Vuvuzelas finished their work, I think that is the right moment to speak about the World Cup played in South Africa.

First of all I have to say that I was happy when I was noticed that this World Cup would be played in Africa, and what is more, it will be the first played in this continent. I think that Africa, and South Africa, deserved it. This action has given to this land and opportunity to success and to try to improve the country. As we have seen during the development of the Cup, South Africa has passed the test with a satisfactory management of the competition. On the other hand it is true that some things could have worked better but in general he can be proud of it.

Secondly, I would like to speak about the football played there. I have to admit that I was surprised at the level and the papers that “the favourite teams” played. In fact I have to recognize that I didn’t imagine another winner apart from Spain (perhaps Argentina too). The favourite teams have not played well, we only have to focus on the way that Italy, France, England and Brazil had played, in my opinion none of them deserved the World Cup. On the other hand, Germany, Argentina and Netherlands could have achieved the purpose but during the development of the Cup we have realised that they also have some defaults.

Therefore, I think that the only team that deserved the World Cup was Spain. It is true that in football not always happen what is normal or expected, but this time happened. I think that Spain was the one that play the best football and the one that play football better. It is said that Spain has played like Barça and because of this he had won. In my opinion Barça is better than Spain and also I think that it is normal that Spain and his coach Vicente del Bosque has followed the Barça style, everybody of us would have done the same, it is the expected behaviour when more than a half of yours players play in Barça, and what is more, they are the bests of the team.

Many people called this Spanish team as “Barça”, but I think that he looks like more “Catalonia” due to the 7 Catalans who played there, I mean, who really deserves the star on the shield?
